Declawing Is Cruel!

Share

We have recently taken in three new catsthat have been declawed. And people have gotten the misconception that we supportthe act of declawing or think that it isokay but that is far from the truth. We see declawing as an act of animal cruelty. Declawing is not just the removal of thecat’s nails but it is the amputation ofthe first knuckle. Private owners andexploiters do this because they thinkthat it makes the big cat safer to handle. Even Big Cat Rescues King andQueen of beasts have both been declawed. All this does is potentially createhealth problems in the future such asarthritis. A bad declawed job can makeclaws grow back in weird spots or cancause mutated claws to grow back puttinguncomfortable pressure on their toes andtheir pads. Reise our cougar walks with a limp andhas to be sedated from time to time totrim down the mutated nails that growback from her botched declawed job. Big Cat Rescue condemns the act of declawingand you should too. CC Reviewed by Crys Marrs
